FILASA is the first member in Portugal of BCI - Better Cotton Initiative
Cotton is arguably the most important natural fiber in the world, almost everyone is in daily contact with the cotton. FILASA as an important wiring in domestic and European markets takes commitment to improve cotton production practices and, since last March, is the first company in Portugal to acquire certification in BCI -Better Cotton Initiative.Starting in 2005 and led by WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature, BCI - Better Cotton Initiative is a nonprofit organization, in cooperation with the different stakeholders and organizations, that tries to define a set of policies for a more sustainable cotton production in the world."FILASA, as a company that work with huge amount of cotton daily could not remain indifferent to this initiative, doing what is in our power to provide a better and more sustainable product to market."
